Depends on the power drain of whatever the item you are trying to charge up uses.
On my Motorola I776 phone, after about 4 hours, I get about 2 bars of battery life (from a completely dead charge). Not the world’s fastest, but does the job.
The way I use it the most is to have a mostly charged item and while I am using it, I have the charger attached, that way it is re-charging while I am using like for example, my GPS.
But, for the Xacti cg10, you have to charge it with external charger.
